five fact friday

Friday, August 30, 2013

1.  Quinn is getting closer to crawling each day.  Any suggestions for babyproofing?
2.  Q likes to look at herself in the mirror...such a girl. haha  She has been kissing herself in the mirror and giggling all week.  I hope that means she will have a good self esteem ;)
3.  New fabric came in the mail this week!  Hoping to make some fun fabric pouches with these new patterns.  We don't have any big plans for the holiday weekend, so maybe this would make for a good project.
4.  The blowing raspberries obsession is not just a phase.  I figured I would just let it slide because eventually the fascination with blowing baby food everywhere might go away.  WRONG.  It's getting worse.  Unfortunately, I think this is the stage where I have to begin to teach Q "no."  What is happening to my baby?!  Before I know it she is going to be toddler on the naughty step.  bahhh
5.  This has been my favorite lunch these days.  Amy's Organic GF Vegetable soup.  It's delicious!  I add in cilantro, shredded cheese, avocado, and tortilla chips to make it more substantial.  Mmmm.

*I should also add that I bought my first two bags of candy corn this week and got bangs!  Can you tell I am ready for fall?

Happy Labor Day weekend!

  1. Love your 5 On Friday post. You little girl is so sweat. Everyone says the time flys by when you have a little one. Someone else who gets excited over new fabric..yeah!!!! You soup looks delicious, I eat gluten free so I must try some. I always go back and forth with the bangs but think they are such a nice way to change up your hairstyle.

  2. Our little one blew raspberries while eating too! It was only a phase though, a month or so? Hope it stops soon for you, what a mess!

    1. Hawthorne Threads...it's the first time I have used them. They have a great selection and it's a lot easier to order online rather than stand around at the fabric counter forever. It's a little more expensive than Joann's, because there aren't coupons and there is shipping. But, there are some really cool patterns and you have the convenience of shopping online!

  7. Babyproofing is hard, I think.....I mean, you can do the basics, easy things to think of like outlets.....but I think it just depends on what's in your house....and what she likes to go after :)) We have things in our house that Mace doesn't even give a second glance to, but when my nephews come over, we have to put them up.

Quinn is ADORABLE!!! Her hair really seems to be growing!
