I can't believe it is finally official...we are moving to Florida! I remember a moment from this summer when Matt got the interview...chatting with my sister-in-law (Kelsey) and saying, "Well, maybe we will be in Florida next time we see you!" haha (I didn't think it would actually happen!)

Matt will be starting a new job down there that we are both really excited about. I am so proud of him. Over the past few months, we have been clinging tightly to the Lord for his direction and guidance. Neither one of us ever thought that we would end up in FL! But, God has been SO faithful in big and small ways, and we feel so blessed.

We will miss our Chicago friends and being able to drive around the lake to see my family. But, we have already began the process of importing friends/family for various weeks in the winter :) It will definitely be a different experience for us...we are 100% midwesterners.
love my family!

I will also miss my classroom and some of my kiddos :) haha. Looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for me.

Two quotes....one from the Bible...one from Ferris Bueller... :)

"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life...Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground." Psalm 143:8-10

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

Amen!

Homecoming

Saturday, October 15, 2011

Last weekend my college friends/roommates reunited for Homecoming. It was such a treat to have some of my closest friends travel from all over to see each other. We hit up all of the usual spots from our college years. First stop, french market :)

Coffee with Ily--so good to finally meet this sweet little baby girl!

Cupcakes at Amanda's place

Reminds me of how quickly sweet treats would disappear in our college days---no holding back.

There is nothing like beautiful fall days with close friends. I will cherish our time together and looking forward to our next reunion!

Happy Birthday to Matt!

Sunday, October 9, 2011

This week we celebrated Matt's birthday! I don't usually get all sentimental in my blog posts, but Matt deserves some recognition on his birthday. That being said, Matt is one of the most patient and thoughtful people I know, and I am SO thankful for him in my life :)

To celebrate, we made a gourmet dinner at home. (aka-we marinated the steaks for 24 hrs. vs. 1 hr. ;)

:)

Beacon joined the party with all of his fur.

Tadaaa! We were pretty impressed with ourselves.

Present time! (Yes, Matt's present is wrapped in Santa paper...I guess I'm not following in my mother's gift wrapping foot steps too well--sorry, Mom!)

Apple Crisp for dessert

So thankful for another year with my best friend! Hope you had a great birthday, Matty!
